Successful market launch of an innovative LPG system
Description
A successful company in the development, production and distribution of emission-reducing filters for the automotive aftermarket has taken a major step in the development of a highly complex LPG system consisting of “wet” and “dry” components, both in terms of the complexity of the product and the challenges facing the team in the direction of a system provider. Thomas Schmidt successfully supported this project at several points simultaneously. In addition to procuring various components, he had to analyze the project, which had been stalled for a long time, re-plan it and initially manage it as interim manager. At the same time, he structured and trained the team in project management methods and acted as a coach for the future project manager. He took over the project after 6 months and launched the product in September 2010.
