Description
During the development of a new system in the field of ADAS, a strategic corporate program of an international Tier1 got into a project crisis. Due to the strategic importance of the system – the market entry took place with the launch of a new vehicle in the area of “electric driving” of the customer – the program was escalated up to board level of both companies. After taking over the program, the team was restructured following an intensive analysis and success-critical focus teams and task forces were established. Thomas Schmidt was responsible for the overall management and overall leadership of the project team. Thanks to the dedicated work of both teams and the system “Unstoppable Momentum”, the program was de-escalated even before the successful series launch. This product represents the global benchmark in the field of fusion-based sensor systems for ADAS. The special challenge of this task force: Due to Covid-19 the task force was managed 100% from the home office.
